Elementary School Field Trips

  • All field trips will depart from and return to the Elementary School.
  • Children are required to wear their camp shirts to these field trips.
  • Children must be enrolled in Day Camp to participate in these field trips.
  • You must sign up your child for each field trip by the preceding Thursday. At the end of camp on each Thursday, we will reserve enough tickets and buses for the children who are signed up, please be prompt so that we can fully cooperate with the business that provide these trips to our children!

Wed., July 2 -Gallery Cinema in Colchester -Bus leaves at 10 am and will return at 2 pm. Children will need to bring their own lunch, and spending money (if desired). The movie selection will be available at camp. Only G or PG movies will be chosen. Sign up deadline-Mon. June 30th.

Wed., July 9-.Roller Skating at Middletown Roller skating Rink- Bus leaves at 9 a.m. and will return at 2 p.m. Children must wear socks! Please bring a lunch. There is a snack bar, if children wish to bring spending money. Sign up deadline is Thurs., July 3rd.

Wed., July 16 –Franco’s Laser Tag in Waterford– Bus leaves at 8:30 am and will return at 3:00PM. 2 games of Laser Tag as well as equipment and instruction are included. Please bring a lunch, there is a snack bar if children are interested in bringing spending money. Sign up deadline is Thurs., July 10th.

Wed., July 23- Roger Williams Zoo and Park- we will visit the animals and have a picnic at the park (please bring a bag lunch). Please wear comfortable walking shoes and wear sunscreen/hat. The bus will leave at 8:45 am, and return at 5:00 pm. There will be no after care, as the whole group will not return until 5 p.m. Sign up deadline- Thurs., July 17th.

Wed., July 30- Veterans Memorial Ice Rink, West Hartford - Bus leaves 10 am and returns at 3p.m.  Children should wear appropriate clothing; you may bring your own skates, and a bike helmet, if desired. You must provide a lunch for your child. Sign up deadline is Thurs., July 24th.

Wed., Aug. 6- Cave Hill Resort - On this day, please drop off and pick up your child directly to Cave Hill. Please have children bring bathing suits and a towel and wear sunscreen. The times will be 8:30am - 3:00pm. Picnic lunch will be provided, but if you’d like, desserts are always welcomed! There is no aftercare on this day; we must leave the site at 3 p.m. Sign up deadline is Thurs., July 31st.
